One odd thing I have noted is that the people who give the most lip-service to the idea of human “diversity” tend to be Satan’s agents, when it comes to destroying diversity. This occurs because, even though they claim to support “minorities”, they stand firmly against that which makes a minority prosper, which is “patriotic pride”.

I believe God created us each with unique gifts. Just as our fingerprints are unique we each have God-given weirdness. We are all created equal, because we are all equally bizarre. There is no one on earth quite like you. You possess some special attribute no one else has, and even if you live in some obscure corner of Creation, without headlines or fanfare, what you have and what you do is important to the Creator’s plan.

Anyone who has read many of my posts may be aware that I am very much an advocate of taking responsibility for self-healing. I am a great believer (in most cases) that we are the ones who must do it for ourselves when it comes to realigning mind, body and spirit and we should not hand our power over to others, in the hopes that they will do the work for us.

I wasn’t always of this mind. When I was younger, I believed and hoped others would or could do it for me or just tell me what steps I should take to make it all better (I had sooo much to learn). I believed the best option was the easy option… Didn’t quite work out that way though…

I have a dear friend who is 15 years younger than me and more often than not he pushes me to consider life from a different vantage point. His name is Michael.

Michael and I are unlikely friends because of our age difference and because he is a guy. But boy have we laughed, cried, argued, said I’m sorry and seen the best and the worst of each other. That happens when you work together for almost ten years.
